A Few Things To Keep in Mind When Visiting South Dakota’s Breweries
Check Food Options
Planning to eat at the brewery? Then check out your food options in advance. Many breweries are just taprooms and have no food. Some host food trucks regularly or have an adjoining eatery, and others have light snacks.
Time Out Your Visit
Use Google’s “popular times” feature to gauge when traffic is slow, or call ahead to check on best times to visit. Many breweries and taprooms are busy on weekends or host release parties or events that can fill up seats quickly.
Check on Parking
Check on parking – many breweries have limited parking, but may have parking garages nearby. Or, if you are a cyclist, many breweries are bike-friendly, and some even have bike racks on site.
Check N/A Drink Options
Traveling with someone who requires non-alcoholic beverages? While many breweries feature root beer, soda or other drinks, not all do. Plan accordingly.
Write An Online Review
Be sure to share your experience on Google, Yelp and TripAdviser. And don’t forget to share your beers on Untappd.
Tip Your Bartender
Remember to tip your servers and bartenders appropriately! We know this one is obvious, but the food and restaurant industry thrives on gratuity.
